Top lobbyist Robert Cresanti named interim COO; franchise industry loses aggressive leader in midst of major lobbying battle Caldeira Steve Caldeira has resigned as CEO of the International Franchise Association after a contract stalemate, according to an IFA statement released Sept. 16. Caldeira had led the $16 million-revenue group for more than five years; the latest tax document shows his salary was $787,588, an increase of 50 percent over his first full year salary of $524,417 in 2011.
